Alistair Davenport died June 3, 2020 at age 80 in Anytown, CA.
Professor Davenport taught at the University of California at Anytown for 42 years and was a professor emeritus at the time of his death, teaching psychology to undergraduates.
Prof. Davenport was born May 4, 1940 in Sacramento to Gustav and Sharon Davenport, who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Anytown State and was immediately accepted into a prestigious doctoral program at the University of California at Berkeley where he studied Applied Development Psychology. He served as interim dean of the College of Psychology at UC Anytown, but he was proudest of his research in the areas of adaptive and maladaptive functioning. In 1996, he founded the Center for the Brain at UC Anytown. His publications and appearances are too numerous to mention.
Prof. Davenport is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mirelle Davenport, a sociology lecturer at UC Anytown.
