Mildred Carver died Aug. 3, 2022 at age 75 in Anytown, Calif. under the care of Anytown Hospice.
Mildred’s family is eternally grateful for the hospice workers who helped keep her comfortable at home, and later during a brief stay at Anytown Hospice. They made sure that her passing was peaceful, and that she was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her.
Mildred was born Mildred Baxter on May 4, 1947 in Sacramento to Delbert and Sherrilyn Baxter. She was preceded in death by both parents, along with a baby sister, Ruby. Her husband, Albert, died in 2015. Mildred leaves behind her beloved brothers, Allan and Chester, who were with her at the time of her death. Also surviving her are her three children, Beth, Ella and Annie, who were also able to gather at the hospice.
Mildred was a stay-at-home mother, working hard at all that entails. Once her daughters were in school during the day, she took the opportunity to go back to school herself, becoming a registered nurse. She spent most of her career working the ICU at Anytown Community Hospital, retiring in 2012. Mildred enjoyed traveling (Iceland was her “bucket list” destination, completed in 2020). She was also a huge fan of the Anytown Tigers football team, and served on the sports boosters board of directors.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 5 at the Anytown Lutheran Church. In her memory, donations can be made to Anytown Hospice.
