Liam James Tokuda of Anytown, PA, was killed by gun violence on September 9, 2019. He was seven years old.
Liam was born November 9, 2011, the youngest of three to parents Greg and Nancy Tokuda. Liam had many things he loved, chief among them his dog, Groot, who felt the same way that Liam did and who would wait by the window every day for the school bus to arrive. Liam adored school, especially reading, math and playing baseball in P.E.
Groot waited at the window for two days after a gunman killed Liam and three of his classmates. Liam was never afraid of going to school and always loved playing with his friends. He was a silly, exuberant, charming little boy who had no knowledge of gun violence in this country. He is one of hundreds already this year who have died because of it.
Liam is survived by his parents; his brothers, Sam and Ozzy; his grandparents, Helen, George, Botan and Pamela; and his dog, Groot.
Private services will be held. Donations can be made in Liam's name to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.
